OUR COMPOST FACILITY
After we pick up your food scraps, we bring them to our composting facility for processing. Conveniently located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, our facility is situated in Kerhonkson, New York, on the site of a former 300-acre dairy farm.
Community Compost Co. produces compost that is approved for organic use. At our facility, we combine food scraps with other organic materials (such as wood chips, leaves, and manure) to create the perfect recipe for nutrient-rich compost and use the aerated static pile method for processing. When our mature and tested, we distribute it in bags and bulk under our Hudson Soil Co. brand.
Our product line also includes worm castings and liquid compost extract.
